HISTORY SOLAI SHANTI NIKETAN MANDIR
Shanti Niketan temple is built in memory of our late Bapuji Shantilal Nathalal Kansagra.
Our late Pujya Bapuji Shantilal Nathalal Kansagra was born in 1914 in Rana Kandorna, Gujarat, India. In 1935 he came to Solai, Kenya and began his life there.
Bapuji passed away on 18 April 2012 in Rajkot, Gujarat, this temple is dedicated in his memory and honour.
The Shanti Niketan temple is built in the loving memory of our late Bapuji Shantilal Nathalal Kansagra to respect his memory and to honour the sacrifices made by him and our Baa- Kamlaben Kansagra. together they excelled as a perfect team and have achieved great heights.
The activities of Shanti Niketan are totally non-commercial.
The Solai Shanti Niketan Mandir was built in the year 2014 at Solai Farm and was inaugurated on the January 18th, 2015 by our late father Pujya Mansukhlal Shantilal Patel.
The Shanti Niketan Mandir is located at the highest point in the Solai Sanctuary giving a spectacular view of the sanctuary below.
The "om "symbol is highly related to meditation and yoga and is a sound which is associated with the glory of the sun, mankind and existence.
This is the main reason why the Solai Shanti Niketan mandir is situated at the top of the hill giving out a bright and exuberant radiance.
Last but not the least, Lakes Solai, Baringo, Bogoria and Nakuru are also visible from the Solai Shanti Niketan mandir which is a sheer sight of beauty.
LOCATION SHANTI NIKETAN TEMPLE
Shanti Niketan Temple is situated on the 4,000-acre Solai Farm, where thousands of people are working to produce and harvest Arabica Coffee, Tea, Macadamia Nuts, Roses, making Mawa, Penda, Paneer and Cheese also, doing dairy farming with fresh milk production. The Temple itself is situated in the Solai Game sanctuary.
Solai is a town in Nakuru County, Kenya. It is located about thirty kilometres north of the county capital, Nakuru. Administratively, Solai is a location in Bahati division of Nakuru County.
Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is the highest Panch Kedar temple located in the mountain range of Tunganath in Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Tunganath (literal meaning: Lord of the peaks) mountains form the Mandakini and Alaknanda River valleys. Located at an altitude of 3,680 m (12,073 ft), and just below the peak of Chandrashila, Tungnath temple is the highest Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is believed to be 1,000 years old.
Shanti Niketan Temple of Solai is one of the highest Hindu Temples worldwide. Shanti Niketan Temple is built on pure spiritual, clean ground.

ABOUT US
Solai Highlands is an agriculture-based farm comprising of Coffee, Tea, Diary, Macadamia, Wildlife and Floriculture operations.
TEA: We have around 250 acres of tea. Planting has been done in triangular double hedge method which gives 5,000 plants per acre. Tea needs around 1,200 MM of annual rainfall and it does well under moist conditions.
COFFEE: We have 250 acres under Coffee at present.
FLORICULTURE: Currently we have 27 hectares of cut roses. Solai Roses brand is Mozart. Solai Roses is worldwide available on both auction as well as direct business.
MACADAMIA: We have 500 acres of Macadamia. We have a macadamia roasting and packing plant also. Solai Highlands Macadamia Nuts are available within Kenya at diverse supermarkets, food retail shops and international available as well.
DIARY: Our Diary project comprises of Dutch Holstein Frisian and Ayrshire cattle, which are black/white and red / white present in colour. Presently, we have a herd strength of 600 Holstein Frisian and Ayrshire cows. All our milking is done by a mechanical, state of the art milk parlour.
MAWA/ PENDA: Our Solai Mawa factory is the most Reknown Penda Mawa Factory in Eastern Africa. This Penda and Mawa factory was started in Solai in 1948. Our original Mawa and Penda recipes are still the very same, and made with special care to be sure we can offer our consumers the highest quality of product.
CHEESE: Our Solai Highlands Cheese factory produces Paneer, Mozzarella, Cheddar and Gouda cheese. Solai Highlands Cheeses are available in Kenyan supermarkets and food retail shops.
